2016 tahoe cooling fan stays on

I've never owned a Tahoe before, I did however own a 2016 Silverado with the 5.3 a few years ago and never noticed anything like this. My first thought was maybe ascending up the mountain pass it got a little hot and the fan is designed to keep running until cool, but I'm just guessing.
