May 29, 2023 · Just picked up a really nice 9422. It came with a scope and the rear sight had been removed and a plug inserted in the dovetail. I want to get it back to original. I can't find any info on this like year s of manufacture or production numbers. I know Winchester often made special runs for groups or distributors.9422 I shoot Winchester 40 grain hollow points in my 1972 version 9422 magnum. 65 year old eyes not so good but still using open sights. I can still shoot minute of varmit pretty good.
